My husband and I took a river cruise down the Danube this past spring, ending in Budapest. We had the most extraordinary experience touring around Budapest. The food during our visit was exceptional and reminded me of our hometown restaurant, Brigitta's Hungarian Restaurant.
While going on vacation fun and filled with wonderful dining experiences, it is always great to come home especially when we have delicious Hungarian food available in our freezer from The Hungarian Cuisine. Can’t wait to thaw and heat up some Chicken Paprikas!
Every piece of food is made by hand by a master of his trade. Yes, every piece! The care, passion, and great skill that is put into this food shows in the results. If you already love Hungarian food, it will fill that craving you have. If you have not had Hungarian food, get ready, because it will fill a craving you didn’t know you had and you will only want more. For me, it’s such a great comfort food.
Mike has mastered the art of amazing, delicious stuffed cabbage, chicken paprikas , and beef paprikas. In my opinion, these are all perfectly seasoned and cooked to make you wonderfully satisfied and to make you feel like you got something from “that place” that makes the special food from somewhere in the world. “That place” is Brigitta’s Hungarian Restaurant, but the place is Kilgore Texas. Enjoy!
P.S. This is the kind of place we take guests to when they visit from out of town and recommend to others we find who are passionate about good food.
Our sampler order arrived here in Florida earlier that we expected with all our meals still frozen. Needless to say, we thawed the Cabbage Lasagna and sat down to a hearty and delicious meal. All the meals were GREAT!
What's for dinner? Chicken Paprikash and spaetzle. Straight from Texas shipped frozen to Maryland into the pot and down to the tummy. Yummy
To celebrate Father’s Day, I gifted my Hungarian father this wonderful Hungarian food. Such delicious cabbage rolls and beef stroganoff! We’ll order again and again!
We first ordered the stuffed cabbage from Brigitta’s restaurant several years ago and my Hungarian Mom was very impressed..”almost like mine!”. And I am SO happy that they reinstated the frozen food and are shipping again after the Covid hiatus. It is very tasty, comes frozen and warms up so easily. All it needs is sour cream on top, maybe a boiled potato and you have a delicious traditional Hungarian dish!
We have not eaten all of it at this time. Our favorite so far is the chicken paprikash. So easy to make with our kitchen under remodel. We will be ordering again. Thanks for cooking!

I’ve been wanting to visit this restaurant for a couple of years. My mom made stuffed cabbage and chicken paprikas all my growing up and I have missed these flavors. Brigitte’s did not disappoint, it’s like being in my mom’s kitchen! Absolutely delicious.

My husband’s father was a Hungarian immigrant and we have wanted to make a road trip and try Brigitta’s for a few years. The food really was delicious and it was a special way to remember him! It’s casual counter service with a friendly atmosphere.
